A little bit about me!

I was born and raised all over Southern California. I moved around a lot growing up, so I’ve lived in just about every corner of SoCal. I’m also the oldest of six kids and we always had at least a few dogs running around the house, so yeah, it was a little chaotic, but in the best way.

These days, I work in corporate America doing business development for a boutique recruiting firm called Motive Workforce. I’ve been in staffing for nine years now. I started out as a sourcing assistant, moved into recruiting and onboarding, and eventually found my groove in sales. I love building relationships and helping people and companies grow. It’s what keeps me excited to show up every day.

Outside of work, I’m super passionate about health and wellness. I’ve always been that person reaching for organic food, clean skincare, and anything non-toxic, long before it was trendy. I used to get teased for it, but honestly, I’ve always just wanted to feel my best and live a healthy life.

My deeper dive into holistic health started after high school, when I struggled with hormone issues, fatigue, and unexplained weight gain. I spent years trying to figure out what was going on, bouncing between doctors who kept saying everything was “normal,” even though I felt anything but. It wasn’t until I worked with a naturopath during COVID that things finally made sense. I learned I had hormone imbalances, adrenal fatigue, and food intolerances to nearly everything I was eating: gluten, dairy, eggs, garlic, onion, corn, and yeast.

It was tough at first to make such a big lifestyle shift, but it changed everything. My energy came back, I felt clear and balanced, and I learned how to truly support my body. Now I’m all about sharing what I’ve picked up along the way, from clean product swaps and essential oils (which I love) to healthy habits, corporate life tips, and even the occasional finance talk.

This blog is my place to be authentic, share what’s worked for me, and connect with others who care about living well and keeping things balanced. It won’t always be perfect, but that’s kind of the point. Wabi-sabi~the beauty in imperfection~is something I try to live by.
