Another way to detox: Cleansing Foot Pads.

Lately, I’ve been using cleansing foot pads, and they’ve quickly become one of my favorite nightly rituals. My sister introduced me to them, and now I can’t imagine my evenings without them. I put them on before bed, and by morning I feel lighter, refreshed, and ready to start the day. There’s a real sense of waking up renewed that I enjoy.

Let go, Let God

I used to get obsessed over things so easily, whether it was being hung up on a guy or caught up in drama with a friend. I’m super analytical, so I’d overthink everything and let it completely consume me. It wasn’t until COVID hit, when everything slowed down and I had way fewer distractions, that I realized I really needed God. One day I was at my next-door neighbor’s house, and she told me something that stuck with me: Let go, let God. That simple phrase helped me through some of my darkest moments. Now, whenever I’m having a rough day or feel myself going down a rabbit hole, I’ll write it on my wrist as a reminder to trust the process.

In his video, Kabat-Zinn breaks down these attitudes as ways to approach life with more awareness and presence. He talks about things like non-judging, patience, and letting go. Simple ideas, but surprisingly hard to live out. It’s not about fixing anything, but about accepting what’s already here. Easy to get caught up in striving or overthinking instead of just being. A solid reminder to slow down and reconnect with the moment.

You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay is like a bible. She’s so vulnerable and has lived many lives, it shows not only in the wisdom she shares, but also through the many accomplishments and experiences she opens up about. I use her affirmation encyclopedia as a tool to guide me to where my body is and where it needs to be. At the end of the book, there’s a section with affirmations tied to specific symptoms or pain. It’s always super healing and works magic in some way, shape, or form.
